Overview
A 3D scan of the "Gekijo-dori Ichibangai" area of Kabukicho, Shinjuku. The arch at the entrance to the area — commonly known as the Kabukicho Gate — already stood in a first-generation form in 1956; the present "Gekijo-dori Ichibangai Arch" was completed in 1969, and an LED refit was finished in December 2013 (source: Kabukicho official portal, kabukicho.or.jp). Beyond the arch, the scan captures the street of bars and restaurants exactly as it stands.
